Meet Kunal Shah

Orthotist and Prosthetist C-OP, AOPA

After graduating as a Physiotherapist in 2005 Kunal’s love for making things and serving people encouraged him to delve into this unique profession. Kunal graduated from La Trobe University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics.

Since graduating Kunal has worked as an Orthotist and Prosthetist at several public hospitals and rehabilitation facilities in South Australia, gaining expertise in:

  • Manufacturing and fitting of orthotics devices
  • Orthotics management of complex foot & ankle
  • Orthotics management of spinal injuries
  • Diabetic feet management
  • Orthotics management of neuromuscular and neurological disorders
  • Lower limb prosthetics rehabilitation
  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Paediatrics orthotics management

Kunal has special interest in clinical gait analysis and complex lower limb Orthotic and Prosthetic management with clinical experience and expertise in the areas of Stroke (CVA), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Post-Polio Syndrome, Complex Foot and Ankle, Spinal Cord Injuries and Lower Limb Amputations.

Kunal’s vision is to provide exceptional orthotics and prosthetics services to all patients and to go above and beyond for patients.

Kunal’s goal is to create awareness among the community and other health professionals that a great orthotics and prosthetics service can make a big difference to patients’ lifestyle and they don’t have to settle for less.

Kunal is the Member of Australian Orthotics and Prosthetics Association (AOPA) and accredited every year.

Outside of work, Kunal is a Cricket enthusiast and can play a bit. Apart from that he loves spending quality time with his young family.
